Energy Market Innovations (EMI) is seeking a Data Manager to join our team in our Seattle office. This is an opportunity to apply your extensive data management experience to a wide range of projects at a dynamic organization that values creativity, recognizes individual contributions, and invests in your continued development. You will assist and provide support to our Research Manager and other staff to manage datasets, ensure data security, and conduct statistical analyses across the firm s many different evaluation projects. Your responsibilities will include: Conducting data management (assessment, cleaning, processing, and summarization) for client-provided and firm-collected data. Developing dataset documentation (code books, processing summaries). Ensuring data security protocols are adhered to at all times. Programming web-based surveys. Tracking the progress of data collection activities while they are in the field. Participating in project staff meetings. Conducting statistical analyses and writing up results as needed. Conducting other tasks as needed. You may be a good fit if you: Enjoy working extensively with data. Have 2-4 years of experience cleaning and managing data, whether in an academic or work environment. Have experience using statistical analysis software such as SPSS. Possess a solid working knowledge of basic statistics, including simple t-tests, ANOVA, and related non-parametric tests. Understand sampling theory and have experience with sample design. Can interpret statistics and translate data into meaningful findings and recommendations. Are at least an intermediate to advanced user of Microsoft Excel and are very comfortable using advanced functions and lookups. Are motivated, organized and responsible enough to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet tight deadlines. Communicate clearly and effectively verbally and in writing. Desired but not necessary are experience with linear regression and other advanced statistics, familiar with RDMS theory, and experience performing analysis with GIS software.
