The Generator Product Manager shall also work on product improvement projects in the development of new products and services Basic Functions - Support the Generator Services sales effort, either indirectly by providing input to project proposals, or directly through Customer interaction. - Work with the Business Development Managers to develop relationships with key customer organizations at all levels (engineering, maintenance, plant management, executive management and buyers) throughout the United States. - Work with the Product Manager, Business Development Manager, Global Power Sales representative or Customer Service Manager to develop and execute specific sales plans for assigned customers and/or opportunities. - Help develop and deliver product presentations for internal and external customers. - Support of technical and commercial events such as open houses, symposiums, conferences and exhibitions - Prepare the scope of work and cost estimates for prospective projects for steam turbine and/or generator rotating and stationary components. Essential Functions - Support the U.S. Alstom sales organizations and sales representatives, develop links with key utility executives and buyers throughout the United States. - Support the proposal development efforts that will result in the sale of Alstom products to U.S. utility customers and assist in sales negotiations. - Prepare draft proposals for review and approval. - Review RfQ's and help prepare work scopes and cost estimates as required. - Support the transition of order intake to project execution. (Finalize contract) - Maintain on-going relationships and ensure total customer satisfaction through the order delivery cycle. - Provide customer feedback and market trends to the product development and marketing efforts. - Help develop specific sales plans for opportunities one to two years out. Help develop and maintain forecast business opportunities one to three years forward. - Work with Supply Management, vendors and subcontractors in the project proposal phase in support of the estimate and schedule. - Interface with other groups within Alstom to prepare detailed estimates and schedules. - Maintain proposal files. - Monitor project execution, update product templates to reflect latest and best practices. - Develop and continually refine the systems and analysis capabilities to improve the speed and accuracy of our estimates. - In the event of an emergency opportunity, go to site as part of a team to assess the scope of work and prepare estimates to win order. - Attend and support proposal review and Risk Review meetings. - Attend and support in-house kick off meetings. - Support/participate in product improvement and product development projects. - Provide process / planning support to sales staff. - Support Project Managers to prepare documents for quoting growth work on projects in progress. - Support the project management and project execution team as required and defined by the business.

RCFs will take the on policy development and advocacy in targeted countries, and then, IIP will lead on technical implementation to support the policies. As a member of IIP’s Executive Committee, the Director will report to IIP’s Executive Director and will be responsible for the day-to-day technical assistance operations of IIP. For global activities: - Develop and prepare materials for a comprehensive Industrial Efficiency Technical Resource Library (e.g., existing benchmarking of energy efficiency and energy management practices and technology guidebooks by sector or cross cutting end uses). - Identify gaps in existing resources and take the lead in managing and piloting research for global best practice information - Assist in the development of tools to make the information accessible to IIP’s target audiences - Assist in the development and implementation of an outreach program to disseminate IIP’s research and tools * Help organize workshops and stakeholder consultations on issues relevant to ongoing regulatory proceedings, studies and network activities. * Build and lead a global technical team to conduct research, develop region-specific analyses, and evaluate the effectiveness of private and/or public initiatives, including direct management of a Technology Officer and maintenance of a database of technical experts * Serve as a spokesperson for the organization, maintaining relationships and working directly with decision-makers in both government and the private sector Professional Qualifications The successful applicant will have the following minimum qualifications: * Demonstrated commitment to IIP’s values, mission, and purpose. * 15+ years work experience with at least 5-10 years of experience in industrial energy analysis and technology assessment, preferably across sectors such as chemicals and petrochemicals, iron and steel, cement, paper, aluminum, etc, and multiple countries. * More than 10 years of experience managing teams, staff and subcontractors. * Academic background in industrial engineering, industrial policy, or other scientific/technical field of relevance to energy efficiency. * Strong facilitation and negotiation skills with experience creating collaboration and consensus among internal and external stakeholders; desire for and comfort with working in a collaborative environment. * International work experience that includes a successful track-record of managing global networks and collaborative ventures to drive national and international policy change at the highest levels. * Proven ability to apply sound political and strategic judgment in complex situations. * Comfort with qualitative and quantitative energy policy analysis. * Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English and preferably one additional language; proven ability to present technical information to a non-technical audience. * Professionalism, poise and the ability to work as part of a team, maintain a sense of humor, and interact with a diverse array of people.
