Job Summary: The IT Solutions Architect is primarily responsible for providing IT support to product engineering for both product development and customer engagements. Specific duties and responsibilities include the following: Design the implementation architecture for Customer Deployments Review detailed product design to ensure alignment with Product Line Strategy Support Product Engineering in the validation of products against engineering requirements Lead detailed technical development process to ensure quality and standards are maintained Create troubleshooting solutions for customer deployments Create and maintain IT product documentation as required Provide IT sales support as required Perform other duties as requested or assigned Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: The knowledge, skills, abilities and education required for entry into this job include the following: 5 years experience using SCADA required 5 years experience using JAVA required 5 years experience working with Distribution Management Systems required Advance Metering Structure knowledge helpful Smart Grid and CIM knowledge helpful Very strong knowledge about computer hardware and software systems, strong analysis and application abilities, excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, a wide knowledge about various systems requirements, experience in integrating Smart Grid applications a plus, knowledge of CIM standards a plus, experience in JAVA based architectures. Education: Bachelor Degree preferred
