Responsible for developing and implementing an effective marketing communications program to customers promoting energy efficiency programs and services across AEP's eleven state service area.
Principal Accountabilities:

5.Assist management and other employees with the development of electronic messages, slides, overheads, videos, handouts, talking points or other materials required to communicate key messages or initiatives to AEP senior management, employees, customers or other key clients.
6.Maintain awareness of major issues affecting the industry, the company, the department and communicate information internally, as appropriate.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: •Meeting individual sales goals established by the Regional Sales Director annually. •Ensuring internal and external customer satisfaction. •Performing such tasks as reasonably necessary to identify potential energy sales. •Scheduling meetings with qualified end use customers to explain CNEG product offerings. •Delivering proposal and other relevant information to potential customers to effectuate execution of CNEG contracts. •Working with Gas Operations as needed, on a monthly basis to determine nominations, bank strategies, incremental pricing, and any other issues required to properly service customers. •Consulting with existing CNEG customers on a regular basis to discuss market trends, risk management strategies, tariff rate schedule changes, and any other issues required to meet the company’s contractual obligations to its customers. Skills Required: •Required - BS or BA degree in a business related field such as Marketing, Finance, Economics, Engineering or equivalent work experience. •Preferred – 2 years or more of industry sales experience •Understand the industry financial markets (NYMEX) •Aware of all the key competitors within the region •Understanding of tariffs and operational requirements of the appropriate LDC’s within the region •Highly proficient in Excel with a working knowledge of Power Point, Word, Outlook, and the Internet •Ability to maintain confidentiality of all information at all times •Exceptional communication skills to function in a team environment and to maintain rapport with customers, direct reports, co-workers, and employees •Ability to manage several different tasks simultaneously •Travel as required by CNEG customers’ and businesses’ needs. •Flexibility on the job and the ability to work under multiple, daily deadlines

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
This position may reside in Meadville, Warren or Oil City and is responsible for the service tasks associated with large commercial and industrial customers or other customers as directed by their supervisor; handles inquiries and referrals from Area Managers, their assigned customers, the Call Center, back-office accounting and the regional supervisor; responsible for the initiation of “for-profit” work; coordinates activities on behalf of major customers in matters pertaining to the installation, upgrade, supply and use of electric service; reviews customer energy consumption and demand data to insure proper rate application and billing; resolves service, power quality, reliability, rate, metering, billing, and customer payment issues; develops strong internal relationships with employees from region Operations, Operations Support and Customer Service departments with a focus on a team approach to resolution of key customer issues; development of key customer relationships as well as relationships with trade and professional organizations in assigned market segments.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree preferred in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering and P.E. desired. Background in sales and marketing in technical environment is a plus. Must possess a working knowledge of company's service requirements, tariff rules and regulations. Must have a thorough understanding of National Electric Code, plus the fundamentals of electricity,electrical distribution systems and customer electrical facilities. Must have a working knowledge of the company’s customer information system, including customer use parameters, billing components and account rates.
Must have outstanding verbal and written skills and a demonstrated background in negotiating. Must be capable of visiting customer and company locations as required by the position through the use of self provided transportation.
