Who We Are:

Professional Energy Jobs has its roots in a frustrating job search. Disillusioned with conventional job search methods after her former employer closed the subsidiary she worked for, one of our founders decided that there had to be a better way to find a job in the energy industry. Collaborating with a colleague who had experience setting up employment websites in other fields, they asked: Where was a comprehensive listing of every energy job opportunity - Federal and State governments as well as the private sector? Was the only alternative to visit the thousands of energy industry websites that might have an applicable job?

That's when the light bulb came on and Professional Energy Jobs was born. Why not provide free job listings to employers in order to build the most extensive energy job database and create one source for energy industry professionals to find their next job. Make it sustainable by providing premium display ads and e-mail alerts of critical job openings to employers, but at the core, keep the job listings free.

Our founders:

Our founders include a petroleum engineer/lobbyist who worked for the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, a Washington, DC based law firm and most recently at Pacific Gas & Electric.

Our other founder is the technical expert behind the scenes. He worked formerly in Washington, DC and in New York City as the PC and computer network manager for one of the world's largest law firms, and for the past 10 years as an integration and network consultant.
